Seeding

We specialize in drill seeding using a Tye-No-Till drill seeder with 3 seed boxes to accommodate legume seeds, native grass seed and fluffies.

The Seeding Process:

  1. Coulters cut a clear track for seed
  2. Double disk openers spread the soil open
  3. Seeders place the seed in the track
  4. Press wheels firm the soil over the seed
  5. Harrows rake loose soil over top of the seed.

Benefits:

  • Results in uniform seeding rates
  • Seeds can be placed at a precise depth
  • Seed is covered by soil
  • Less loss to birds & other animals
  • Reduces winter injury
  • Promotes rapid germination

We also do broadcast seeding and hydro seeding.

Applications:

  • Wildflower Meadows
  • Native Grass Meadows
  • Lawns
  • Pastures
  • Flood Plots
